It is based in the Riverland of South Australia and has offices at 9 William Street, Berri. While much of our training programs are run in the Riverland, we are able to provide training in other parts of the state as well.
GrowSmart Training has been approved as a Skills for All provider a Government of South Australia initiative. For further information about what Skills for All can help you with please contact us or go to the Government website www.skills.sa.gov.au
Our members are the Almond Board of Australia from whom we rent our offices and the South Australian Fresh Fruit Growers Association (SAFFGA). These two organisations are represented on the Management Committee through committed and passionate members who provide direction for the training programs provided to the horticulture industry – particularly almonds, stone fruit, wine grapes and citrus. We are also currently running programs in Conservation and Land Management for students using Calperum Station (Managed by the Australian Landscape Trust) north of Renmark and Wilabalangaloo (a National Trust site) near Berri .
Much of our training is face to face and hands on.
