AusChem Chemical User Training


The AusChem course is the industry standard for training in chemical use, storage and handling. This course provides the required training for many Industry Quality Assurance Programs and is required for users of Schedule 7 and other Restricted Chemical Products. Full Course training is offered over 2 consecutive days typically from 9am to 4pm.

Existing Chemical Users can complete a 1 day refresher course to update their accreditation.   Renewal of Chemical User Accreditation is required within 5 years of last training date.

The comprehensive AusChem Training manual is provided for attendees of all AusChem workshops.

People who have successfully completed AusChem Training also achieve 2 nationally recognised VET units of competency. (AHCCHM304 Transport and store chemicals & AHCCHM307 Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases) These units can be used towards achievement of a range of qualifications in the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package.  Attractive employer subsidies are also available.  Enquire here to find out more.

PRIOR TO ENROLMENTThe ability to interpret and correctly apply information from a chemical product label in English is assessed as part of these workshops.   Assessment of reading comprehension and basic numeracy skills is mandatory to meet Workplace Health and Safety standards concerning chemical use and application.
