To get started in gaining skills and knowledge in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, a Certificate II in Conservation and Ecosystem Management might be just the thing you need.
You'll learn about:
- recognising native and introduced plants and animals;
- how to grow and protect native plants;
- treat weeds and other pests;
- restoration degraded and damaged environments; and,
- using and maintaining machinery safely.
This training is currently offered through the VET for School Students program for all Riverland State High Schools. The course is delivered by experienced ecologists and conservation staff in the beautiful, natural environment of Calperum Station.
This certificate can be achieve in 1 year.
