This is for those people with a strong interest in conservation and ecosystem management. It covers a working knowledge of natural resource management. The qualification enables individuals to select an Indigenous land management, lands, parks and wildlife or natural area management context as a job focus or a mix of these. There is a strong emphasis on field work.

Some units in this qualification can be completed through the VET for School Students program for all Riverland State High Schools in 2020.

Course delivery options can include working with experienced ecologists and conservation staff in the beautiful, natural environment of Calperum Station. 

Sixteen (16) units make the full course with two (2) core units and fourteen (14) electives. More information about units available and packaging requirements can be found here. 

The duration of training is typically completed in 2 years for most participants.
