A Certificate III in Production Horticulture recognises and equips people with the skills and knowledge needed to work in the production horticulture industry. This trade qualification contains all the skills to efficiently grow food and fibre crops to wine, dine and cloth the world.
Learn about how to :
- grow and manage crops for optimal production,
- recognise, monitor and treat weeds, pests and disease in crops,
- manage soil and irrigation systems
- safely operate and maintain machinery
Duration of training is flexible and participants generally complete the qualification within 2 years.
Fifteen (15) units make the full course with three (3) core unit and twelve (12) electives. More information about units available and packaging requirements can be found here.
Some units in this qualification can be completed through the VET for School Students program for all Riverland State High Schools.
